Camel Blanket Rug GP&J Baker

This beautiful design was inspired by 'Camel Blankets' found in GP&J Baker's world renowned archive sourced from a time when George Percival and James Baker imported exotics textiles and rugs from Constantinople, now Istanbul. Beautiful in their own right, these blankets were used to wrap and transport more expensive Turkish carpets to protect them on their travel to the major cities of the world.
